Marker Clustering
Set marker clustering for clear and undistracted map exploration
When map markers overlap, it can create clutter and reduce map readability. Enabling marker clustering helps by grouping markers into clusters, improving overall clarity. Customizable cluster colors can further enhance visual distinction and identification.
There are two cluster types available:
- Standard: Applicable to the following marker styles: Point, Dot, Balloon, Triangle, and Custom.
- Optimized: This type of cluster is specially designed for large numbers of markers to improve loading speed and map performance. Applicable to the following marker styles: Dot Optimized, Custom Optimized.
The cluster radius setting determines the proximity needed between markers to group them into a single cluster, defining how close markers must be to each other for clustering to occur. For Optimized clusters, there are additional customization options for border and font style to enhance the appearance and readability of the clusters.
The plugin settings also allow the option to prevent individual markers from clustering and to define the maximum zoom level at which markers can be grouped into clusters.
Both types of clusters are displayed on the two maps in the tabs above, showcasing how Standard and Optimized clusters function with different marker styles and cluster settings.
